Meet The Maker

My name is Vanessa and I am the founder of Forever Florals. I operate as the main creative designer in studio and thankfully also have assistance from a small team when it comes to floral preservation, reconstruction and admin.

As a child I had my own flower pressing kit and loved preserving flowers from around our Lowveld farm and garden… fast forward many years later and I wanted to pass on that same connection of nature and creativity to my own kids, so we started pressing flowers together. It was then that this childhood passion rejuvenated and bloomed into Forever Florals.

I have always loved design and all things creative, while also wanting to be people orientated and focused on their journeys and growth. I studies Urban Design at the University of Pretoria as I was drawn to the creativity involved in developing spaces alongside that of the social impact for the people that live in them. I also started working in ministry which is something myself and my husband continue to do together today.

Forever Florals collides these worlds of design and people’s stories in the most natural and beautiful way. The best part of all this is when I get a glimpse of your story!

Now myself and the team are able to help people from all over South Africa creatively preserve their memories and story through the unique expression of botanical art.

While we specialise in bridal bouquet perseveration we also enjoy creating custom interior art pieces, flower pressing kits, food safe flower rage and especially love sharing this passion with others through our interactive and informative workshops.

It truly is an honour to be trusted with your special flowers and for me to catch a creative glimpse into your story. I hope you sense my joy expressed through this labour of love in each and every petal.
